What our previous entrants have to say...

Elizabeth Le Breton finalist

Last year I attended the Inaugural ALIBI Awards as a nominee and finalist in two categories; Bright Spark and ALIBI Hub Superstar. What an amazing evening it was! I was surrounded by strong, empowered women and had the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who shared my hopes and challenges.

The atmosphere at the ALIBI Awards is exciting! Every detail is meticulously planned, from the stunning location of the venue on Sydney Harbour, to the delicious cuisine and fireworks display to finish off the evening. And everyone was dressed to impress!

Attending the ALIBI Awards validates you as a woman in business. It connects you to a supportive and empowering community. It enables you to form lasting connections and friendships that provide ongoing support, guidance and collaboration on your business journey.

I encourage all women in business to be a part of this affirming, celebratory event!

Applying for the Australian Ladies In Business Initiative Award gives you an opportunity to look closely at your business while answering the questions which in itself is a good practice. You get to share what your business is doing and be measured against other businesses in similar categories. Just applying for an award creates the motivation to improve on what you are already doing.

Applying for the ALIBI awards was very easy and uncomplicated.

I usually start applying for an award and then stop half way through an application but not in this instance the whole experience from the day I was nominate, receiving a phone call advising me I was a finalist to the amazing awards night was a seamless and enjoyable experience.

If you are thinking about putting yourself forward, do it is a great experience.

“Everything about the inaugural ALIBI awards in 2022 was exquisite!  From the harbour-side venue to the entertainment, catering, and amazing business women & guests dressed in their finest! The atmosphere was truly magical. I was honoured to win the ALIBI Hub Superstar award and be the recipient of the sexiest purple crystal trophy I’ve ever seen!!!  Kylie & her team have definitely raised the bar for awards ceremonies.”

It was such an amazing experience from the moment my business was nominated. As a nominee I received a beautiful certificate and a little gift to congratulate me & my business for being nominated which I thought was such a beautiful way to be recognised.

Once I submitted my award application the vibe was incredible. It was a great way to communicate and to get to know all the other business ladies that were entering the awards.

Kylie the founder of ALIBI made the process simple. She made us feel like Hollywood stars from counting day to announcing the incredible finalists and congratulating every single business that came a finalist in the ALBI’s first awards.

Kylie, Sarah & Aims made the award event a night to remember. We felt like we were on the red carpet. It was a fun night and a memorable evening. I have been to a few awards ceremonies, and this was one of the best ones I have been to.

As a winner of one of the gorgeous purple crowned trophies for 2022 ALIBI Awards the recognition did not finish on the night of the awards. As a member of the ALIBI community my business has been announced and recognised by the other businesses in the group.

If you are thinking of entering 2023 Awards, I totally recommend that you take your business to the next level and be recognised for all your hard work that you have put into your business.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Kylie King and her team for such a wonderful experience and look forward to 2023 Awards.

Attending the ALIBI Awards last year was an incredible experience that I am grateful to be a part of.

I stepped out of my comfort zone and was provided with a fresh perspective of myself and my business journey. The process gave me the opportunity to assess my progress and think about my goals and where I want to be. It also allowed me to sit back and reflect on how far I have come and to be proud of my achievements.

The awards night was nothing short of spectacular, from the moment I arrived at the stunning venue, I knew it was going to be a memorable night. The atmosphere was full of excitement as I enjoyed the night in a stunning venue with great entertainment and food and I mingled with amazing and inspiring businesswomen.

I would wholeheartedly recommend the ALIBI Awards to any ambitious businesswoman out there. It is an opportunity not to be missed. The awards provide a platform for self-reflection, professional networking, and the chance to receive the recognition you deserve.

Who is ALIBI?

Kylie King Founder of ALIBI

Australian Ladies in Business Initiative or ALIBI as it’s fondly known believes that every member of our community, every Australian lady in business, is the face of ALIBI. But if you’re asking about the founder, that would be me, Kylie King. I’m an award-winning hypnotherapist, past life regressionist, #1 bestselling author, and small business advocate. I have entered and judged various awards, including international ones. However, this awards ceremony is all about you, not me.

So, I invite you to check out the categories and nominate yourself or other amazing business owners who deserve recognition. I am a strong believer that being a professional business owner doesn’t mean you can’t have fun, and that’s why we’ve made sure to add some fun to the mix. Join me on this journey, and I promise you’ll have a good time, and who knows, maybe even a laugh or two.

I wish to acknowledge the Darug and Gundungurra People as the custodians of the place where the Australian Ladies in Business Initiative is based. The sacredness of this place in the Blue Mountains is deeply enjoyed and I acknowledge that part of its special nature is because of the custodial role you undertake here. Thank you. I’d also like to acknowledge all other Aboriginal peoples across this land and your deep and unwavering spiritual connection to the land, sea, and community. My admiration for your cultural connections and community inspires me to hold a space for a connected, authentic, and fun community of business ladies. I pay respect to the Elders of the lands across Australia and am committed to continue listening and learning how the Australian Ladies in Business Initiative can be inclusive of First Nations people.
